And so after spending a weekend boating and swimming at Deep Creek Lake, MD we are officially hooked! What a beautiful place, just 2 hours from Pittsburgh. We spent the first day with just our family tubing, skiing, swimming and didn't really get off the boat the whole day. Linc, was such a sport...he chilled in his car seat a lot to keep him out of the sun and took some great naps with the rocking and hum of the boat. I think what got Chris hooked on wanting to buying a boat, beside the top of the line, awesome boat that some friends took him out on the next day, was that our kids did not fight one time that whole day. All he could talk about the whole next week was getting a boat. Of course, me and my practical side said why don't we just rent one a few times a year and avoid the expense of a major purchase...not to mention cleaning, towing, and storing,etc. But, then I felt bad for raining on his parade. Chris grew up boating and so for him it is all about family memories and bonds...he claims, "can you put a price tag on that?"...he knows how to play me! We had the Clarks, Morleys, and Hohls join us the next day...so much fun!
